Navigating Challenges in Education Program: Strategies for Success

Time Management Mastery:

Balancing coursework, teaching responsibilities, and personal commitments posed a significant challenge. My family, including my daughter, husband, and maid, offered invaluable assistance in balancing chores and learning. To overcome this hurdle, I relied on effective time management tools such as calendars, to-do lists, and task managers. These resources enabled me to organize my schedule efficiently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Boundaries for Balance:

Maintaining a healthy work-life balance was crucial in avoiding burnout. I learned to set boundaries and allocate specific times for work, study, and relaxation. This approach helped me manage my responsibilities effectively while ensuring I had time for self-care and personal pursuits.

Seeking Support and Guidance:

Acknowledging my digital proficiency gaps, I sought support from various sources. Additionally, the unwavering support and guidance from my Moreland instructors and program advisor were instrumental in navigating the digital aspects of the course. Their assistance boosted my confidence and motivation, allowing me to overcome obstacles with resilience.

Persistence and Adaptability:

Despite initial struggles with digital tools and online learning platforms, I remained persistent and open to learning. Embracing the adaptive nature of the course, I progressed at my own pace, gradually improving my digital skills. This journey taught me the importance of persistence, adaptability, and a positive mindset in overcoming challenges.

Celebrating Progress:

Recognizing and celebrating small achievements played a crucial role in maintaining motivation and positivity throughout the journey. Each milestone, no matter how small, served as a reminder of my growth and resilience.

Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to pursue a career immediately after graduation due to my marriage and relocation to Africa with my family in 2013.
